Hi Gang! This segment has lots of sea days so you know we’re giddy! We did five passenger games today which were Skittles, Baggo (Officer’s Challenge), 7’s Dice Game, Axe Throwing, and Shuffle Golf. We won 9 Regent points and neat the Officers. (Double YAY!). And Kathy beat me in the Axe throwing (first time ever)!
There was a Pre-Dinner event at 6 PM called the Captain’s Welcome Reception. It’s where the Captain introduces all his Officers. (Ya know, the schmucks we beat today! Lol). Just kidding, they’re all awesome. And there were several new Officers that joined us in Lisbon. Hmmm… maybe that’s why we beat them today??
They usually include a performance after the Captain’s remarks and tonight it was our good friends from the entertainment team doing portions of their Variety show. They did their Cabaret number, Brennan and Ashley did a duet and G finished it off with Singing in the Rain. They are all so talented!
After that we went to dinner with our good friends Colleen and Steve. If you remember, we met them on the first leg of last year’s world cruise. And as I’ve said before, they’re the reason we’re on this cruise and we can’t thank them enough! This has truly been the most satisfying journey we’ve ever taken!! We hope to remain life long friends and see them again on many future cruises!
Once again dinner was excellent. For my two appetizers I had both the Cream of Asparagus Soup and the Asparagus Risotto. For my main I had the Sake-Glazed Salmon. For dessert I had the Tanzanian Chocolate Cake. Hopefully that’s an omen for us to take a safari to Tanzania!
After dinner we went to the 9:30 PM show who was the Guest Entertainer/Vocalist named Stephanie Webber. We actually saw her two years ago on the Regent Navigator ship. She was good then and even better tonight. She has such a powerful voice and sang songs from Adele, Julie Andrews, Shirley Bassey and more. Great show!
After the show we did something different and went to the Observation Lounge to listen to the new pianist that came onboard yesterday. Her name is Kelly and she has a really good voice. After that we called it a night. Tomorrow is another sea day and we turn back the clocks an hour and so we get an extra hour’s sleep. Another Double YAY! Hope everyone had a great day!
