World Cruise – Regent Seven Seas Mariner – 154 Days – Sea Day – Day 146 – Final Pics!

Thursday June 4, 2026

Hi Folks! As you know, today was a sea day but we changed it up a little. No… we didn’t skip the games (God forbid!) but we didn’t do as many as usual due to some unique events. We did play three games which were Skittles, Top Toss (Officer’s Challenge), and another game of Top Toss (not sure why??). We won 7 Regent points (YAY!) and beat the Officers (Double Yay!).

The two unique events were a 9 year old’s birthday party and a 3 PM matinee show by the entertainment team. Not sure if I’ve mentioned it before but we’ve had a family on the whole world cruise who have two young girls aged 9 and 12.

The mom is a teacher and has been home schooling them the whole time.  The Captain said the 9 year old is the youngest kid ever on a full world cruise. How cool is that? We got invited to her birthday party and several of the entertainment team were there to help celebrate. The cake was really good too!

Then at 3 PM the Regent Singers did their show called Broadway Unplugged. It’s where they take Broadway show tunes and put their own spin on it. They also shared stories about some of the songs and composers. Yes, this is the 8th time we’ve seen the show but we were right there in the front row as always supporting “our kids”!

At 6 PM, we had the Regent Block Party that they do each segment. It’s where everyone comes out in their hallway and meets their “neighbors”. We had lots of new neighbors and enjoyed meeting all of them.

After that we went to dinner at the Steakhouse Specialty restaurant Prime 7 with our good friends Marci and Jim. They were on the first segment of the world cruise thru Hawaii and rejoined back in Cape Town. I’ve affectionately named them our “book ends”!

We both love to travel and they’ve done many safaris so we talked travel thru the whole meal. We’ve really became good friends with them and are hoping to see them when we’re visiting Kathy’s family.  We also hope to travel with them as well (especially on a safari!).

As far as our meal, I put my feed bag on and had both the Crab Cake as well as the Seared Diver Scallop for my appetizers. For my main I had the mammoth 18 ounce Bone-In Ribeye and while I should have stopped there, I didn’t. I had the 14 layer Chocolate Mousse Cake for dessert. Whew… bring me the Pepto Bismol!!

After dinner we went to the 9:30 PM show which was the Guest Entertainer Comedian/Magician named Danny Buckler. He’s from Great Britain and has done various UK TV Shows and has also done Disney. He was hilarious! We actually saw him last year on the Regent Navigator and he was really good. He didn’t disappoint tonight!

After the show we crashed since we have an early excursion. Tomorrow we’re docked in the port of Horta on the Portuguese island of Faial in the Azores. We’ve never been there so we’re excited to explore a new place! Hope everyone had a great day!
