Hi Folks! Another sea day so what do you think we did?? You guys could probably write this for me. Or heck maybe I should use AI to write these since we’re in our rhythm and like doing our sea day routine. Isn’t it scary that AI might replace The Wandering Italian?? NEVER!! Lol.
So yes we did some passenger games but also added a cool documentary for a change. We played four games which were Ring Toss, Top Toss (Officer’s Challenge), High Handed Dice Game, and Top Toss again. We won 8 Regent Points (YAY!) and lost to the Officers (BOO!).
We also went to an afternoon documentary called “My African Safari” (since you all know we now have the “Safari Bug” and can’t wait to do another one!). It was by award winning filmmaker Rick Ray as he took us on a remarkable Safari. They showed Kenya, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Serengeti, and the rainforests of Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park. Watching this made us want to do another safari even more!
We then went to dinner at Compass Rose with our good friends Bo and Sherpa (Bob). We met them when we were on the first segment of last year’s World cruise and they just joined this voyage in Singapore. They also joined us on our Overland Safari to Shalati. No also does a travel blog on SubStack called “Bo and Sherpa Travel the World”.
We had great dinner conversation and reminisced about both our first Safaris to Kruger Shalati. They are both great people and love to travel like us so we have a lot in common. As to dinner, I had Saffron Risotto for my appetizer and Crusted Hake Filet for my main. Since everyone got dessert, I decided to join in and got Creme Brûlée. But again no food pics!
After dinner we went to the 9:30 PM show by a Guest Entertainer Guitar Duo named CH2. Their names are Corneille and Christiaan and they’re known as the fastest guitarists in the world. While they only used two guitars it sounded like a symphony. Their show was called “Spanish Fire” and they played songs like Thriller and Hotel California with a Latin flair. Given how fast their fingers fly across the guitar strings, I would think they’d get carpal tunnel!
After the show we called it a night since we have an early excursion tomorrow in Luanda, Angola. Another new port for us so here we go! Hope everyone had a great day!
