Hi All! Can you believe it?? We only have 30 days left in this amazing adventure!! We can’t believe we’ve been on this journey for 124 days but we’re loving every minute of it. While we’re excited we’ll soon see all our family and friends, we’re sad to start the 30 day countdown!
But when we get handed a sea day, we have lots of fun! We played 5 passenger games. Skittles, Dutch Shuffleboard (Officer’s Challenge), Crazy Eights Card Game, Top Toss, and Guess That Tune. We won 13 Regent points and beat the Officers! YAY!
At 6 PM tonight, we had the Regent Block Party, where we got to meet all the people who live on our floor (block). We had lots of new people join for this segment so we met some new neighbors while the Captain and Cruise Director came thru to say hello. It’s always a fun event!
After that we had dinner with two of the entertainment team, Annie and Ashley. Annie is one of the lead singers and is from Charlottesville, VA. Ashley is one of the singer/dancers and is from Sydney, Australia. They both are such great performers as well as being great people. We really enjoyed our dinner with them!
For dinner I had the Shanghai Chicken Dumpling for my appetizer and the Branzino Filet for my main. Since everyone else had dessert (OK, twist my arm!) I had the Dark Chocolate Mousse for my dessert. Everything as always was so delicious (but sorry no food pics!).
After dinner we went to the show which was a new Guest Entertainer named Brett Cave. He is a singer/pianist specializing in Rock piano akin to Elton John and Billy Joel. He’s not only a great vocalist and pianist but he’s also really funny. He sang songs from Lionel Ritchie, Neil Sedaka, and you guessed it… Elton John and Billy Joel. It was a great show!
After the show we went to dance a little at the Horizon Lounge with the Arista Duo. Tomorrow is another sea day and we turn the clock’s back another hour so we get an extra hours sleep. Double YAY!! Hope everyone had a great day!
PS: Of course the highlight of the day was Face Timing with the grandkids. Love and miss those little goobers! They loved all the Safari animal videos we sent them!!
