Hi Folks! Today was the second of three sea days and was just as relaxing and fun as yesterday. Of course we played lots of passenger games! We played Ring Toss, 7’s card game, Axe Throwing, and Crazy Golf. We won 6 Regent points but no Officer’s Challenge so we let them off easy!
At 11 AM they had the equator crossing ceremony. The ceremony is rooted in Roman mythology that requires sailors to pay homage to King Neptune and the Queen of the Sea. On cruise lines they make you kiss a fish to become a true Shellback. This is about the third time we’ve crossed the equator so we passed on the kissing of the fish and just grabbed some pics of the Regent singers and dancers dressed as the King, Queen and pirates. So fun!
There was a 5:45 PM show tonight by the Regent singers called Broadway Unplugged. Lachlan, Isma, Annie and Brennan put on another great show! As described it was “an intimate evening of acoustic covers and stylistic re-imaginings of Broadway favorites, old, new and woven together with unique behind-the-scenes stories”. Even though we’ve seen it five times, we go each time to support our good friends and also because we love the music! I included a few pics!
After the show we went to the French themed restaurant, Chartreuse, with three of our friends Debbie, Wallace and Marisol. Debbie and Wallace are from Florida and Marisol is originally from Spain but now lives in Florida.
For dinner I had the Mushroom Soup for my appetizer and for my main I had the Roasted Rack of Lamb. And no dessert again (trying to be good!). The meal was amazing both the food and the conversation! But sorry, no food pics again!
There was no evening show, so after dinner we went to the Horizon Lounge for dancing and great music. They called it “80’s Cocktails & Dreams” and it was really fun. Music from the likes of Michael Jackson, Journey, Whitney Houston, etc. A nice way to finish off the night. Tomorrow we have our third straight sea day. Hope everyone had a great day!
