Hi Folks! Today we had a sea day and boy did we need it! That 104 degree heat and long days the last couple days wiped us out. But we rebounded and we’re back to our sea day routine!
We played Ring Toss, Baggo (Officer’s Challenge), High Handed Dice Game, and Guess That Tune. We won 11 Regent Points and beat the Officers (Double YAY!). After 100 days, it’s the little things that get us excited!
They had both a Pre-Dinner show and a Post-Dinner dance party tonight. The Pre-Dinner show has been one of our favorites of the whole cruise. It’s all our good friends of the Regent Singers and Dancers doing their own Variety Show. They actually plan it, choreograph it and perform it all on their own. There’s even tap dancing along with lots of singing and even some great acting in one of the songs. They’re all so talented!
We then had dinner in Prime 7, the Specialty Steakhouse restaurant. Remember how I was trying to eat lighter? It is so hard there since the food is so good! But I tried my best! I only had one appetizer instead of two and I didn’t get that huge 18 oz Ribeye that I love so I deserve an award for that!
I ended up getting the Seared Diver Scallop for my appetizer and the Applewood Smoked Salmon for my main. But I blew the whole eating lighter plan when I went for the Double Chocolate and Bourbon Brownie with Salted Caramel Ice Cream for dessert. That thing is decadent! Oh well, you only live once!!
After dinner we went to the Horizon Lounge for the Disco Dance Party. The Arista Duo and the entertainment team were all there singing and dancing along. I felt like we were all back in the late 70’s! Think Saturday Night Fever and Studio 54. So fun!
We then called it a night. Tomorrow we are in Male in the Maldives. Can’t wait!
PS: Exactly two weeks from today we leave for our third and final overland tour to do a 5 day safari in Kruger National Park in South Africa. Definitely excited for that one!
