Hi Folks! We had our last glorious sea day today. And yep, we did absolutely nuttin’! Well… except PACK!! We always hate the next to last day since you have to pack everything up and it makes the trip feel so final (which it is)! But we did start off with glorious blue skies, sunshine and calm seas as you can see in the pic! But the seas did get a little rough later in the day and early evening (more on that below) but nothing us seafaring pirates can’t handle!
So we really did our normal sea day routine of sleeping in and relaxing. We went to the “Cake Me Away” presentation of all the cakes they made, had lunch, watched the Deal or No Deal game and packed. That’s it.
For dinner we went casual and ate at the Lido buffet. After dinner we had planned to go to the show which was the Holland singers and Dancers doing “Curtains Up”. We saw the show a few weeks back on our first segment and enjoyed it so much we wanted to see it again. But alas the rough seas didn’t let it happen! All that dancing would have been too dangerous with the ship rocking and rolling. So they cancelled the show!Instead they had the performer from last night play since she’s a one woman show and can sit and play the accordion. Her name is Annie Gong and her accordion-like instrument lets her play music that sounds like a whole band is playing but it’s just her. She was really good!
After the show we finished our evening like we always do and that is listening to Kelly play the piano. She is so talented! Tomorrow we dock in Tokyo and end the cruise. Since our flight doesn’t leave until about 6 PM, we signed up for a tour to do in the morning, then they’ll drop us off at the airport. It’s going to be a L-O-N-G day tomorrow! I’ll do a final update on Monday to let you know how our trip went. Wish us luck!!
PS: But the biggest event of the entire cruise happened tonight! Kathy won $10,000 on a slot machine!!!! Can you believe it??? Guess it means we have to book another cruise! Lol. We’re still in shock!!
