Hi Gang! Can you believe it? It’s the last and final full day of our amazing adventure! Wow… I still can’t believe we’ve been traveling since early Jan and have covered almost 40,000 nautical miles! The time really did fly by and it truly was a trip of a lifetime! A few days after I get home I’ll try to summarize my thoughts but needless to say the key word is amazing! And we woke up to an amazing sunrise today!
We changed it up a bit for the last day but not too much. We’ll have enough shock treatment happening to our minds and bodies in 24 hours so don’t want to push it! We of course played a few games which were Ring Toss, Baggo (Officer’s Challenge), and Top Toss. We won 7 Regent points (YAY) and beat the Officer’s (DOUBLE YAY!). They’re still running scared!
Speaking of Regent points, we finally cashed them in for some Regent merch, with my favorite being a cool luggage protector cover that says 2026 World Cruise! Check out the pic. We also added a new activity today. We decided to have lunch in Compass Rose.
We hadn’t eaten there for lunch since maybe the first few weeks. It was nice to sit down and be waited on (rather than the buffet). We also got to have Apple and Marjorie as our servers (see pic). They’re so sweet and we’re excited to find out Marjorie will be on the brand new Regent Prestige ship in Jan of 2027 when we’ll be on!
They had a Pre-Dinner show at 5:45 PM that we went to which were the group of three men named Bachelors of Broadway that we saw the other night. They once again sang many great Broadway tunes in three part harmony. Such great voices!
After the show we went to dinner in Compass Rose with our good friends Colleen and Steve. If you remember, they are truly the reason we came on this journey. We met them last year on the first leg of last year’s World Cruise (see pic from last year!) and they convinced us we’d love it. And they were right!
Our dinner with them was amazing (there’s that word again!). We talked about all the great times we had on this journey and what both our future plans are for cruising. I know we’ll cross paths again sometime. They are both two of the nicest people you’ll ever meet!
Speaking of amazing, that was what the food was for our “Last Supper”! I had both the Miso-Eggplant Wonton as well as the Chicken Noodle Soup for my appetizers. For my main I had the Rum-Glazed Caribbean Sea Bream and for dessert I had the Warm Chocolate-Hazelnut Cake. Delicioso!! But sorry, no pics!
After dinner we went to the Horizon Lounge for the last dance party and to say our final goodbyes to everyone. It was a fun night but sorta sad. We really made some new friends for life. Luckily we turn our clocks back an hour and get an extra hour’s sleep (we need it!). Wish us luck flying from Miami to Charlotte tomorrow. Hope everyone had a great day!
