Hi All! I was really tempted to write June 8th again hoping we could go back in time but we can’t. But we did have a fun day even though this was the first of our last two days of this adventure. We did pretty much our typical sea day routine (ya know, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!).
We played three passenger games (Ring Toss, Axe Throwing, and High Handed Dice Game) and won 6 Regent points (YAY!) but there was no Officer’s Challenge (BOO – they’re still running scared!). We did find out that we can cash in all our points tomorrow on Regent stuff but more on that tomorrow.
There was a Pre-Dinner show at 6:00 PM called Krew Kapers. They have one at the end of every segment and it’s where the crew show off their hidden talents as well as share their heritage thru song and dance.
Regent also put together a video from all the crew saying goodbye and the Captain and all his officers were there to send us off. This one was extra emotional for all us World Cruisers to say goodbye to everyone after being together so long (yes still blubbering while I write this!).
But even though we were a bit sad leaving the theater, we were quickly cheered up since we were having dinner with two of our favorite entertainers. We love Lachlan and Isma like our own kids and have enjoyed many dinners with them. They are a couple and have been doing cruise ships together for several years.
Lachlan is the head male singer and is from Australia and Isma is the head female singer and is from New Jersey. We had an amazing dinner reminiscing about all the good times we had together on this cruise and how we can all stay in touch. They both are bound for great things and we’re honored to call them friends and will be saying “we knew them when”, whenever they both make it big!
Speaking of amazing, the food once again was a home run! Not sure how Regent does it but over these last 150+ days, we have not had a bad meal (and we tried a lot of different dishes!).
Tonight I had both the Cured Malibu-Pineapple Baby Scallops as well as the Creamy Maine Lobster Risotto for my appetizers. For my main I had the Pork Belly and for dessert I had the Guanaja Chocolate Soufflé. My compliments to the Chef!
We talked so long at dinner we closed the place down and didn’t finish until 10:30 PM. Great conversation with great people! Tomorrow is our last and final sea day and our last day of the World Cruise. Crazy how fast it’s gone by! Hope everyone had a great day!
