Hi Again Folks! We had another great evening on Regent. I can’t believe we have only 26 days left so we’re trying to make the most of every one of them! We started tonight by having dinner at the French Themed specialty restaurant named Chartreuse.
We had dinner with our good friends Marci and Jim. They were on the first part of this world cruise and got off in Hawaii. After staying in Hawaii for awhile afterwards as well as doing a safari and other African travel recently, they rejoined the world cruise in Cape Town.
Like us, they love to travel and have done several safaris and as you all know, with us being bit by the Safari bug after Kruger Shalati, we picked their brain and learned a lot from them about how to plan our next safari! They have also been to Churchill in Canada where the polar bears are so we discussed that bucket list trip as well. So many amazing places in the world to see!
Of course we also snuck some food in between all our travel talk. For dinner I had both the Sole & Prawn Risotto as well as the Crab Soup for my appetizers. For my main I had the Scallops. For dessert I had the traditional French dish of Creme Brûlée (of course, what else??). Everything was delicious as it always is!
After dinner we went to the 9:30 PM show which was Guest Entertainer Vocalist Samantha Ivey. We saw her about a week ago and her show tonight was called “Music & Memories”. She sang several musical theater songs from the likes of Grease, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita and others. Her voice is so powerful and she always puts on a great show!
Tomorrow we have a sea day (YAY!) but lose an hours sleep (BOO!) as we work our way back to the coast of Africa. Hope everyone had a great day!
