Hi Gang! Well we spent the day at our own private island… we just had to share it with 2,000 other people! Yes, we were at Holland America’s private island for the day and were the only ship anchored here so there was lots of free space on the island.
We did have to take a tender boat but although we could have got off at 8 AM, we decided to sleep in a little and wait for the masses to get off. We went over and walked the island, got some good food and did a little shopping. Yes, they do have shops there!
I must say though, my son and I last month were at Carnival’s private island named Celebration Key and it was much nicer with lots more to do. But hey, I’m not complaining! It was sunny and 78 degrees and we’re on a private island in the Bahamas. Not too shabby!
We got back on board and chilled by the pool. Then started the dreaded 4 letter word thing… Pack! Yuk!! Worst part of any cruise. I’ll send another update tonight. TGIF to all!
