Sun July 7, 2024Hi Gang! Happy World Chocolate Day! I only know this because I’m on a cruise ship and they had tons of chocolate laid out. And those that know me well know I’m a card carrying chocoholic!! So it’s a happy day for me.
It was also a very relaxing day sine we pretty much just slept in, ate and played trivia. Now that’s a recipe for a great day! We actually had two trivia games today and didn’t do great at either one but they were fun. One was on everything chocolate but even this chocoholic didn’t know many of the answers. Remember, I eat it I don’t care about the history of it!
We had another nice dinner. For starters we both had the Bay Shrimp Cobb and Kathy had the French Onion Soup (of course!) and I had the Smoked Duck. For the Main, Kathy had the NY Strip Steak and I had the Brown Sugar Glazed Salmon. For dessert she got the Chocolate Fudge Brownie Cheesecake and I got the Lindt Dark Chocolate both in honor of World Chocolate Day!
After dinner we went to the show which was a man named Lenny Martyn and he played the clarinet and did mostly Big Band/Jazz Swing music like Benny Goodman and Duke Ellington. He was really good.
After that we listened to the piano player and Kathy pulled a few slots. We have another sea day tomorrow so we should get nice and relaxed!
I added some bonus pictures of our certificates and the sky leaving Iceland last night at Midnight. Truly the land of the midnight sun. We’ll miss Iceland (but hopefully we’ll return!). Hope everybody had a great weekend!
