Hi Folks! You know we love our sea days but what’s better than watching NFL Football in the morning while getting room service (kinda like a free Uber Eats!). Due to us being 13 hours ahead of East Coast time, we watched the Thursday night Bears vs Patriots game at 9:15 AM Friday! Love that HAL shows the NFL games on your cabin TV!
On some sea days, HAL does fun things like a “Cake Me Away” day where they make tons of cakes for lunchtime sugar highs! They also had lots of towel animals and towel people all over the pool deck. And finally they have a “County Fair” with lots of games, food and prizes. We also snuck in a port talk on Tokyo to get us prepped for another day in one of our new favorite cities!
For the evening we had dinner in one of our favorite specialty steakhouses at sea, the Pinnacle Grill. Their ribeye is excellent and it rivals the ribeye on Regent Seven Seas Prime 7 restaurant. So of course I had that for my main. For my starter I had the Caesar Salad and for dessert I had the Stroopwaffle Cobbler. Yummy!
After dinner we went to the show which was the HAL singers and dancers performing their show called “Celtic Spirit”. It’s described as “A Night of Celtic Classics”. They sang Irish Classics like Red Rover, Whisky in the Jar, and the most classic of all, Danny Boy. It was a great show!
After the show we listened to our favorite piano player to end the night. Tomorrow is our “change over” day where some number of people leave the ship and a number of new people get on. We’re one of the lucky ones that get to stay on for another 14 days! We’ll be in Tokyo for the day tomorrow and can’t wait to once again explore this amazing city!
