Hi Folks! We had a great first day on the Holland America Westerdam ship. That was probably one of the fastest embarkations we’ve ever had. We got to the port and within 5 minutes we were on the ship! We spent some time walking the ship since we’ve never been on this one.
We had a nice lunch, got unpacked and got settled into our room. After relaxing for a bit we got ready and went to dinner. We got a nice table by a window to watch the sail away during dinner. The food was really good with Shanghai Meatballs as an appetizer and Korean Sea Bass as the main.
After dinner we went to the Welcome Aboard show which highlighted the various entertainers we’ll see this cruise. We were very impressed with the Holland singers and dancers. After the show we ended the night watching some NFL football! Given the time difference we were able to catch a little of the Eagles vs Jaguars game that’s being played in London.
Tomorrow we are in the port town of Omaezaki, Japan. Like all ports on this cruise, we’ve never been here so we’re excited to explore a new city. Hope everyone had a great day!
