Hi All! We’re home safe and sound! But like all air travel these days, it was a little crazy. We boarded our direct flight from Seattle to Charlotte all ready for our 12:15 PM departure. We started to taxi down the runway when all of a sudden we stopped (never a good sign)!
The Captain came on and said there was some type of air traffic issue over Minneapolis and since that was in our flight path we couldn’t continue our flight. So they take us back to the terminal, we all deplane and they say it will be a 4 hour delay (ugh).
But luckily right when we got on the bus back to the terminal, they tell us to re-board the plane! So we only ended up with about a 2 hour delay but still didn’t get home until about 11:15 PM. Long day of travel but well worth it.
We really enjoyed this trip and have a whole new appreciation for Oceania! OK, it ain’t Regent, but it’s at a lower price point and still feels like luxury. We’d probably sail them again, especially the newer ships like this one (Riviera) or the Vista or Allura.
Like on Regent, we really enjoyed getting to know the singers and dancers and having dinner with them. They’re always such fun people (more so than the guests! Lol) and it’s interesting to hear their life stories and dreams for where they want to end up.
So just like after our last trip ending in June, I’ll tell you our next trip is not until October when we go to Japan. But somehow I have a feeling we may sneak another one in! Take care all and thanks for following along. The last pic I’ll share was us sailing into Seattle on Thurs 8/6!
