Hi All! Today we were docked in Ketchikan, Alaska. It’s called the rain capitol of the world so guess what… it rained! Lol. Not the whole day but a good part of it. But we had good rain gear so we were fine.
But we came up a day late and a dollar short! We had just gotten to the bear viewing site when the people said a mama bear and two cubs were just there. Bummer! We tried there later in the day but no luck. We did see a deer, a seal, a cool Blue Jay, a Bald Eagle, and a waterfall. But no bear!
Since we’ve been to Alaska several times and have done a lot of the excursions we decided at this port and a few others to rent a car and drive all around. That way we can be out the whole day and go at our own pace. Heck, we even stopped at Walmart and picked up some snacks!
Even in the rain it’s so beautiful around here. I’ll let the pictures do the talking for now and post another update tonight after dinner.
