Hi All! We had another glorious sea day on Regent. We pretty much did our normal routine other than being interrupted by having to do a face to face Immigration inspection before arriving in Cochin, India in a few days. It wasn’t too bad and it was much better than doing it when we got to the port. And best of all we passed with flying colors!
Of course we did our normal slew of passenger games. We played Skittles, Top Toss (Officer’s Challenge), Rolling 7’s dice game, Axe Throwing, and Shuffle Golf. We won 9 Regent points and beat the Officer’s! YAY!! That put us up over 200 Regent points (free cruise perhaps??? Lol).
There were two shows tonight. We started with the Pre-Dinner show at 5:45 PM which was our good friend and Regent singer Lachlan Griffith. His show was called Broadway from “Downunda” where he sang Broadway show tunes with a nod towards his native Australia. He’s such a good singer and again put on a great show!
After that show we had dinner with two of the Regent dancers we’ve also gotten to know well, Rhaegan Bailey and Cheyenne (Chey) Anthony. Rhaegan is from Glasgow, Scotland and began dancing at the age of two! Rhaegan too loves to travel and when she’s off the ship she teaches dance lessons to young children in her hometown.
Chey is from Melbourne, Australia and earned her diploma in dance. She also enjoys travel and got her wanderlust on her first overseas trip to Sri Lanka at only five months old! We also got to meet Chey’s mother during the last segment when she was on traveling with Chey. Both Rhaegan and Chey are not only amazing dancers but are both such nice people.
For dinner I started with two appetizers. I had both the Shanghai-Style Dumplings as well as the Chicken Consommé. For my main I had the Branzino Filet and for dessert I had the Pistachio Soufflé. As always, all the food was exquisite! Sorry no food pics again due to all the great conversation!
After dinner we went to the main show at 9:30 PM with a new Guest Entertainer named Sharene. She began her musical training as a classical pianist at the age of five. However, when she discovered the chromatic harmonica a few years later, her true musical obsession began. Her show was called “Star of the Pocket Piano” and she could make that harmonica sing!
We finished our night listening to Karaoke (lots of the singers were really good!) and we all sang along. So fun! We have another sea day tomorrow so lots more relaxation! Hope everyone had a great day!
PS: Crazy clock adjustment… tonight we set our clocks back 1.5 hours! Who does that?? But we’re loving the extra 1.5 hours sleep!
