Hi Folks! We are in Cambodia today! Specifically docked in the city of Sihanoukville. We took a tour today called “Sihanoukville in Depth” and we got to see a lot and even got an amazing Cambodian buffet lunch. All part of one of the many included excursions that Regent offers in every port. Can’t beat it!
We started at the local school to watch the kids do a performance for us and we got to see them in their classroom. So cute in their little uniforms! They all loved waving at us and saying hello.
We then went to the pagoda and got a water blessing from the Buddhist monk. We got to tour thru the pagoda and see the various Buddha statues. We drove by the Golden Lion Square where these two large lion statues are in the roundabout.
After that we went to the Kang Keng market. Whoa was that a wild experience! Foods of all kinds being cooked and lots of fruits and vegetables. It was packed with people and they sell everything at great prices. We bought a suitcase there! We’ll need it to haul home all the souvenirs for the grandkids we’ll be buying over these 154 days!
Then it was off to this nice beach front hotel for lunch and the option to lounge at the beach or swim in their pool. The food was plentiful and very good! We then drove back to the pier and chilled. We have a pre-dinner show. I had so many pics I broke this into two updates. More to come tonight!
