World Cruise – Regent Seven Seas Mariner – 154 Days – Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Day 91 – Final Pics!

Friday April 10, 2026

Hi All! Today we were actually docked at Port Klang which is about an hour and a half drive to the city of Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia is made up of 14 states and has a population of 34 million people. It’s a Southeast Asian country occupying parts of the Malay Peninsula and the island of Borneo.

It has a mix of Malay, Chinese, Indian and European cultural influences. The capital of Kuala Lumpur has both the iconic 1,500 foot tall Petronas Twin Towers as well as the second highest building in the world, the Merdeka 118 standing 2,228 feet tall and is surpassed only by the Burj Khalifa building in Dubai. We saw them both!

Today we had a L-O-N-G but Fun day. We had a 9 hour tour called “The Best of Kuala Lumpur”. We got to see a lot of the city but it was HOT. We didn’t get back to the ship until 6:30 PM and even missed the Captain’s Welcome Reception (bummer since there’s several new officers that we would have liked to meet!).

We visited the National Monument, the Old Railway Station, the National Mosque, the Independence Square, the Petronas Twin Towers Building, the Central Market, the Royal Selangor Pewter Workshop, and it was topped off with a huge buffet lunch. Whew! I get tired just thinking about it!

We had such a huge lunch we skipped dinner and just went to the show at 9:30 PM. The show was Divos & Divas. It celebrates some of the greatest singers and songwriters of all time. Lots of toe tapping and singing along. I say this each segment but even though we’ve seen this show four times, we go each time to support the singers and dancers and love the music!

After the show we danced at the Horizon Lounge to end the evening. Tomorrow we are still in Malaysia but move to a new city called Langkawi. Should be fun! Hope everyone had a great day!
