Hi Again Folks! What a fun night we had. Remember a few days ago when I mentioned that a woman came over to our dinner table and said she knew us via my blog? Well, we’ve become good friends with her (Angela) and her husband (Peter) and they invited us over to their suite for happy hour.
They are in one of the largest suites on the ship, called the Mariner’s Suite, and it is lovely. And so are they. They’re from Melbourne, Australia and love to travel like us. We’ll both be in Japan this Fall and they’ve been there before so we’re going to get some good Japan travel tips.
Their son is working on this interesting virtual reality project about Angkor Wat, the Cambodian temple where we’ll be in less than a week. They said that the grounds around the temple have additional temple structures buried underground that will eventually be constructed virtually. Crazy!
After happy hour in their suite, (which was twice the size of ours but who’s counting?? Lol) we all went to the Seven Seas Society Cocktail Party. Regent recognized 3 people who reached the Platinum Level (like us!). The Singers and Dancers also performed a new portion of their Variety Show. So cool!
After that we went to dinner at Compass Rose. Since we had the big brunch today, I tried to eat lighter (tried!). For my appetizer I had the Yuzu Infused Hamachi Yellowtail Sashimi. For my main, I had my favorite dish on the ship, the Miso-Glazed Sea Bass. I ended the meal with the Chocolate Soufflé. What an incredible meal!
After dinner we went to the show called Tuxedo by the Regent Singers and Dancers. The show does a fresh take on the music of the Rat Pack as well as the Great American Songbook. We’ve probably seen this show four times now but always go to support our good friends in the cast and because we love the music!
We ended the night at the Horizon Lounge dancing to the tunes from the Arista Duo. Tomorrow we’re in Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. Never been there so can’t wait to explore it! Hope everyone had a great day!
