Hi Gang! We were docked at Celukan Bawang in Bali, Indonesia today. We had a 6 hour tour that we really enjoyed. We first went to a Buddhist temple, then to the Hot Springs, and ended with lunch at an ocean front resort with a black sand beach.
Our first stop was at the Brahmavihara Amara Buddhist Temple. Wow! They like their statues. The place was beautiful! I couldn’t stop taking pictures. We got the coolest picture of what they call the “Gates of Heaven”. A local guy took it with our camera and a mirror and it’s like 3D!
We then went to the “Holy Hot Spring”. They said it has healing properties to the water. That’s the only way I’d go to a hot spring when it’s 90 degrees out with 90% humidity! But it actually was really relaxing and the water was nice and warm. We’re healed! Lol
After that we went to this ocean front resort to have lunch. The grounds were really beautiful and it had an infinity pool and the black sand beach came right up to the property. They had a buffet and the food was really good.
We drove back to the pier and boarded the boat. We got back about 3 PM and I was tired and just chilled. But Kathy, the gamer that she is, went and played the 3:15 Top Toss passenger game and won us a Regent point. Go Kathy! We then got ready for dinner. I’ll do another update later tonight.
