Hi Folks! We had another fun sea day on Regent. We sorta had our normal sea day routine but threw in a few new things. We did the regular stuff of hitting the gym, playing passenger games, eating great food and watching great entertainment. But we added attending a town hall and participating in the Regent Block Party.
As to the passenger games, we played three (Skittles, Baggo, and Shuffle Golf) and won two Regent points but lost to the Officers. Bummer! There were lots of new players who joined in Auckland so it was nice to meet some new folks.
At 2 PM we went to the Town Hall which was hosted by Wes D’Silva, the new Regent President. He shared some data on the growth of Regent and talked about how Regent will be building four new Prestige class ships through 2036.
We’ve got a cruise booked on the first Prestige ship in Jan 2027. We’re really excited about that but also a little sad that they’ll be selling off the Regent Navigator ship in 2027. Navigator was our first Regent cruise and we have a soft spot in our heart for her. We may try to get one more cruise on her before she leaves the fleet.
At 6 PM they had the Regent “Block Party” that they do every segment. They ask that we come out in our hallways and meet all our “neighbors”. But this one was slightly different since not only did the Captain, the Cruise Director and General Manager participate but also the new President, Wes, came thru all the hallways as well. We met lots of new neighbors!
We then went to dinner at the Specialty Steakhouse named Prime 7. I always eat too much there and tonight was no different. I had both the Crab Cake and the Diver Scallop for my starters. In a nod to New Zealand I had the New Zealand Lamb Chops. Kathy and I split the Chocolate Brownie for dessert. I was still stuffed!
After dinner we went to the show which was called “Divos & Divas”. It was the Regent Singers and Dancers doing all the music from iconic singers like Barbara Streisand, Tony Bennet, Aretha Franklin, etc. Such great music!
After the show we went to hear the new duo which is called “Arista Duo”. They are really good and had everyone up on their feet and singing along. Tomorrow we have another sea day. Woo Hoo! Hope everyone had a great day!
