Hi Again Gang! We had another stellar night on Regent. We started off with the Captain’s Welcome Reception. The Captain introduced all of his senior officers, a couple of which were new.
One of our favorite entertainers, Lachlan, sang a few numbers after the introductions. Lachlan’s parents surprised him and boarded the ship in Auckland and will stay on for a while. We got to meet them at the reception.
Afterwards we had dinner in Compass Rose. I made it an asparagus night! I started off with both the Cream of Asparagus Soup and the Green Asparagus Risotto for my starters. For my main I had the Sake-Glazed Salmon and for dessert I had the Tanzanian Chocolate Cake. Once again everything was made to perfection!
After dinner we went to the show called “Celtic Gra” (Gra means love in Celtic!). It was a celebration of Celtic music featuring singer/songwriter Rebecca Harkin from Ireland and her cast of musicians. The show also features her husband Kurt Russell on piano hailing from Sydney, Australia. The show also includes renowned violist Mark Oats. It was some great toe-tapping music!
We finished off the night with some late night jazz by the Regent Signature Orchestra. Tomorrow is a sea day (YAY) and we move the clocks back an hour and get an extra hours sleep (DOUBLE YAY!!). Hope everyone had a great day!
