World Cruise – Regent Seven Seas Mariner – 154 Days – Noumea, New Caledonia – Day 52 – Pics Part 1!

Monday March 2, 2026

Hi All! Just another day in paradise. Can you believe today marks the day we are a third of the way through our trip? We’re loving every minute of it. And it seems like just yesterday we left Miami. Crazy!

We are docked again in Noumea, New Caledonia. Today Kathy wanted to get her girlie stuff done (hair and nails) on the island. She was able to get her hair cut but couldn’t find a nail salon so she’ll get those done at our next port in New Zealand.

While Kathy was doing her thing, I did a non-Regent tour thru Trip Advisor. It was a 4 hour snorkeling tour to Signal Island, otherwise known as Turtle Island. Guess what I saw there? Yep, lots of cool turtles! They were massive and were all just swimming by mostly thru the more shallow waters.

You could literally just stand there in like 4 feet of water and watch not only the turtles but also tons of tropical fish. Don’t tell anyone but I took some food out into the water and fed the fish. They were swimming all around me!

The island was about a 30 minute boat ride from Noumea and just gorgeous with wide, sandy beaches. We pretty much had the island to ourselves. Not too shabby!

After my excursion I got some room service and got showered. I had this amazing vegetable Cobb salad that was so tasty. Kathy got back in the afternoon and we just chilled. I’ll do another update later tonight. Hope everyone’s having a great day!
