World Cruise – Regent Seven Seas Mariner – 154 Days – Lifou Island, New Caledonia – Day 50 – Final Pics!

Saturday Feb 28, 2026

Hi Again Folks! Have I told you how much we love Regent?? Yes, probably every other post! So we had another great Regent night. How can’t we, with such great service, food, and entertainment?

We started off by having dinner in the best Specialty Steakhouse on the high seas, bar none. We had dinner in Prime 7 and strapped the feedback on! I thought I’d try something different but keep going back to my favorites. I had the Seared Diver Scallop for my appetizer and the Bone-In Ribeye for my main. Gotta get my iron levels up! But I skipped dessert. Shameful (but stuffed!).

After dinner we went to the show. Tonight it was the Regent Singers and Dancers doing their show called Tuxedo. It’s a fresh take on the music of the Rat Pack and the Great American Songbook. Such great music and sung by all our friends we’ve met thru them running the passenger games.

After the show we finished our evening listening to late night jazz by the Regent Signature Orchestra. We had another change in itinerary for tomorrow. We were supposed to be back in Vanuatu at a cool sounding place called Mystery Island.

But for the same reason we missed Port Vila in Vanuatu yesterday we will miss Mystery Island tomorrow. It’s due to this this pesky Tropical Cyclone Urmil that’s hanging around Vanuatu. We had great weather today but I guess we’re far enough away from it to not be affected.

So we will sail to Noumea, New Caledonia tomorrow and stay there for two days. Two days at a beautiful island in the South Pacific? We’re not complaining. Life is good! Hope everyone had a great day!
