Hi Gang! Today was another fun-packed sea day! Yep, you know our routine by now but we added in another craft session. The Wandering Italian is becoming quite crafty if he says so himself!
We had three passenger games. We played Skittles, High Rollers (Officer’s Challenge), and Roll-A-Ball. We won four Regent points but got beat (badly!) by the Officers. The Officers now hold a 3 to 1 game lead on us. Bummer!
After the games we did our craft workshop with the leader June from our hall. She’s the nicest person, and sooo patient. Especially with us non-crafty types! Today we made a “Night Warrior Kupe’e” bracelet. It goes perfectly with our leis!
We then had dinner in the French themed specialty restaurant named Chartreuse. For my two starters I got the Duck Foie Gras (don’t tell PETA!!) and the Avocado & Crab Cake. For my main I got the Veal Medallions. For dessert, Kathy and I split the Creme Brûlée. As they say in French, everything was “C’est magnifique!”.
After dinner we went to the show which was a new Guest Entertainer. His name is Simon McKinney and he is New Zealand’s #1 stand up character impressionist. He did impressions of lots of people and all the funny accents around the world. He was hilarious!
After the show we listened to Frederico, who is in the Regent Signature Orchestra, do a saxophone solo performance. He is so good and can make that instrument scream!
Well gang, we had a change of plans for tomorrow. We were supposed to visit Port Vila, the Capitol of Vanuatu, but had to cancel that port due to the forecast of rough seas in the area. So we get another sea day! Oh well, when you get handed lemons you make lemonade. While we would have loved to see Port Vila, we now can play more passenger games and collect more Regent points. YAY! Hope everyone had a great day!
