World Cruise – Regent Seven Seas Mariner – 154 Days – Lautoka, Fiji – Day 47 – Pics Part 1!

Wednesday Feb 25, 2026

Hi Folks! We had a glorious day in Fiji today! Yes, we’re still in Fiji, we just went to the Western side of the island to the port town of Lautoka. According to an oral legend, the name arose following a duel between two chiefs. As one speared the other, he was reported to have cried “Lau-toka” which means Bull’s Eye!

Well we hit the bull’s eye today with our excursion. Our good friends Steve and Colleen organized a private tour for eight of us. We had a boat driver chauffeur us around the bay to island hop thru this beautiful area. We snorkeled, we sun bathed and we even had time at the end to get in a little island shopping.

It was a fun day on the water. We had perfect weather with no rain. Our crew of eight was Colleen, Steve, Terri, Don, Laura, Roger, Kathy and I. Even our boat driver was a fun part of our crew. I’ll let the pictures do the talking but they do not do the beautiful scenery justice. Hope everyone’s having a great day!
