Hi Again All! We had another fantastic night on the Mariner. We started the evening having dinner in Compass Rose with our good friends Colleen and Steve. I always say we may not have done this world cruise if it wasn’t for them.
When we did our trial run on the first leg of last year’s world cruise we met Colleen and Steve and they warmly welcomed us into the Regent world cruise family and introduced us to lots of fun people. Several of which are on this world cruise and we’ve all become good friends. So if we start doing lots of world cruises, I’m going to blame them! Lol. But I can see how it could become addicting!
For dinner I had the Escargot for my starter and the Beef Bourguignon by the resident Guest Chef for my main. I actually skipped dessert tonight. Ya know, gotta keep my girlish figure on this long cruise!
After dinner we went to the show, which was the guest entertainer from the other night, Thomas Ward. He’s the guitar player that sounds like he’s a one man orchestra. He once again mesmerized the audience with his talent and stories. Such a great performer!
We ended the night at the “Time Travel Party”. Tonight we actually cross the international date line (yes, we got certificates honoring us for it!) and we lose a whole day! We go to bed on Fri Feb 20th and wake up on Sun Feb 22nd. What the heck happened to Sat Feb 21st??? I guess we just lose it and gain it back gradually thru the end of the voyage. Still trying to get my head wrapped around that concept!
So we used to be 6 hours behind the East Coast but now we’re 18 hours ahead of all our East Coast friends and family. All we did was move our clocks ahead 24 hours. Crazy!
Hope everyone had a great Friday and also enjoyed their Saturday (since we couldn’t!). Catch you on Sunday!
