World Cruise – Regent Seven Seas Mariner – 154 Days – Sea Day – Day 40 – Final Pics!

Wednesday Feb 18, 2026

Hi Folks! We’re at day 40! And how ironic that today is Ash Wednesday which is the start of 40 days of Lent until Easter. Interesting correlation! But Hmmmm… what am I giving up for Lent?? Surely not cruising! Lol.

Today was a sea day and you all know how we love our sea days. Sleep in – check, hit the gym – check, play lots of passenger games – check, see great shows – check, eat amazing food – double check! How lucky are we?

As for the passenger games, we played Skittles, Baggo (Officers Challenge), Roll-A-Ball, and Crazy Golf. We won 3 Regent points (YAY!) but lost to the Officers (BOO!). We had a new event today that they do once each segment. They call it the Regent Block Party.

At 6 PM, everyone comes out into the hallway and gets to meet all their neighbors. At the same time the Captain, General Manager and Cruise Director go from floor to floor greeting everyone. Some of our hall neighbors were here from prior segments, so we knew them, and others are new so we got to meet new friends.

After the Block Party, we went to dinner at Prime 7. That is truly our favorite specialty restaurant but this time I tried not to put on the big feed bag! I had the Vidalia Onion Soup for my first starter and the Diver Scallop for my second. For my main I had the Dover Sole and for dessert I had the Double Chocolate & Bourbon Brownie. That’s good eatin’!

After dinner we went to the show, which was the Regent Singers and Dancers in a show called “Divos and Divas”. Yes, we’ve seen it before but we never miss a chance to see our good friends from the Regent Production Company. And the music includes some of the greatest singers and songwriters of all time. We never get tired of hearing great music!

After the show we finished the night listening to late night jazz with the orchestra. Tomorrow is another sea day and we also turn back the clocks another hour (Double YAY!). So now we’ll be 6 hours behind East Coast time! But since the 6 hours were spread over 40 days, we really don’t feel the difference. Hope everyone had a great Hump Day!

PS: But of course the highlight of the day was FaceTiming with the Grandkids! Got to hear all about their fun trip to the mountains where they got to go snow tubing! No snow here!!
