Hi Again Folks! Another great night on Regent. We started the night with a pre-dinner show at 6 PM. It was a folkloric local show called “O Tahiti E”. It was described as “Through its traditional dances, songs, and folkloric music, O Tahiti E shares and illustrates the love of the Maohi people for their Fenua (land), myths and legends. And their traditional outfits, which they changed often, were so elaborate!
It was a cast of all local Tahitians and it was an amazing show. Those people can really shake their booty! And thank goodness the little loin cloths for the men didn’t fall off or it would have quickly become a X rated show! Lol. While the singing was all in their native tongue, you could just hear the pride and passion in their voices. So cool!
After the show we had dinner in the specialty restaurant Prime 7 (yes, we were there last night but love it!) with our good friends Don and Sandy. They are the nicest people and we all shared our stories and got to know each other so much better. We talked for almost 3 hours and closed down Prime 7.
After dinner we listened to some late night jazz with the Regent Signature Orchestra then called it a night. Tomorrow we float over to another patch of paradise in French Polynesia to the island of Moorea. Can’t wait! Hope everyone had a great Sunday!
PS: We were talking so much I didn’t take any food pictures. Sorry!
