Hi Gang! Happy Friday the 13th! Hope it’s a lucky one for you. It definitely is for us. WOW! Bora Bora… if you ever get a chance, come here. It is truly paradise!
It ancient times, it was called “Pora pora mai te pora”, which means “created by the Gods”, and I can see why. This is truly God’s country. The mountains so beautiful, the water so turquoise and crystal clear, and the people so friendly. Can’t beat it!
Bora Bora was formed by an extinct volcano, surrounded by a lagoon and a fringing reef. Its summit is Mount Otemanu, located in the center of the atoll; another summit, Mount Pahia, on the main island is 2,2169 feet high.
Today we did a tour called “Reef-Ringed Lagoon Tour”, which was a speed boat tour of only 8 of us cruising around the lagoon, snorkeling at the coral garden and swimming in the shallow water lagoon. It was soooo fun! We saw lots of beautiful scenery both above water and below. We even saw a boat full of puppy dogs! I’ll let the pictures do the talking. We’re doing another excursion later tonight and I’ll do an update then. TGIF!
