Hi Folks! Well it’s official… today marks the longest time we’ve ever been on a cruise! Our prior longest cruise was 30 days so at 31 days, we only got 123 more days to go. Piece of cake! Lol.
The other cool thing about today was we crossed the equator and had a ceremony by the pool deck to commemorate it. King Neptune himself showed up and converted the “poliwogs” (those who had never crossed the equator by boat) to a “shellback” a name for those who have crossed the equator by boat. It was a hilarious event since to “cross over”, you have to kiss a fish! Yuk!! But luckily Kathy and I crossed it last year on this same boat! And some of the crew that were polliwogs got “marinated” on their heads and bodies with all kinds of junk!
Well, today was the 4th sea day out of 5 on our way to the beautiful islands in the South Pacific. We changed it up a bit and got some games in, went to the equator ceremony, and made more jewelry (yes I did it again!). As to the games, we played both Top Toss and Skittles and won two Regent points! (YAY!).
We also went to the jewelry session run by our Polynesian friend June. Today we made Kupe’e Bracelets. Today’s craft session was way easier than the necklace one from the other day. But it still wasn’t easy for this craft challenged guy! Lol.
I’ll do an update later tonight. Happy Monday to all!
