Hi Gang! We had a two part day today. The first part we were in Kauai until Noon and the rest of the day was a sea day. Given it was mostly a sea day we got two passenger games in! We played Roll-A-Ball and Ring Toss and we won two Regent points. YAY! Maybe we’ll earn enough to get a free World Cruise??? Yeah, right! Lol
Right before lunch, Regent offered a unique option for all us world cruisers. A group photo! So most of the 150 or so world cruise passengers plus the officers gathered on the open deck on deck 12 and they took our “Class Photo”. How cool is that? Can’t wait to see the picture!
Leaving the port of Kauai we got some pics of the beautiful Ninini Point Lighthouse. It is 86 feet tall and was built in 1897 and rebuilt in 1906. It overlooks Nawiliwili Bay and is right near the Lihu’e Airport. We also saw several whales! I didn’t get many good pictures but did catch the tail of one of them!
In mid afternoon, there was a presentation by Alan and Nate, the World Cruise Enrichment Ambassadors. We have met them and they are a hoot. They have worked on Dancing With The Stars for years and shared some funny stories and behind the scenes scandals and insider truths. They are friends with so many stars. Very cool!
Right before dinner they had the “Block Party”. That’s where we all come into the hallway and meet our neighbors. Our next door neighbors were really nice and are from Oklahoma City. We also met people from Ottawa, Canada, Arizona and New York. It’s a great way to meet some of the other passengers.
After that we had dinner in Compass Rose. I had the Panko Coated Tiger Prawns and the Risotto Primavera for my starters. For my main I had the Alaskan Halibut (Ya know, Alaska’s just straight up from Kauai!) and for dessert I had the Malva Pudding. I know I keep repeating this but the food here is always excellent! Like eating at a Michelin star restaurant every night. How lucky are we?
After dinner we went to the show by the Regent Production Company called Divos and Divas. We saw it on the prior segment but really enjoy it but also go to support our friends in the Profuction Company (especially Isma and Lachlan!). We were singing along to all the great hits!After the show we listened to a little late night jazz and called it a day. Tomorrow we are back in Hilo on the big island. We were there about a week ago but love everything about Hawaii. Aloha! And hope everyone had a great hump day!
