Hi Again All! Tonight was such a fun night! We got to have dinner with our two favorite singers from the Regent Production Company. Isma Kielty, from New Jersey and Lachlan Griffith, from Australia. They are two of the four primary singers. We’ve really gotten to know them well thru the passenger games since the various singers and dancers facilitate the games.
We had a great dinner at Compass Rose and learned so much about them both. They met on a cruise ship (they’re a couple!) and have worked on Norwegian, Oceania and Regent cruise ships. They fortunately get to work together for most of their assignments and they’ve been together almost 4 years (just like Kathy and I!). It was such a joy to have dinner with them and we hope to do it again!
For dinner (they said it was OK to take pics!), I had the Cream of Asparagus Soup and the Asparagus Risotto for my two starters. I had the Sake Glazed Salmon for my main and for dessert I had the Tanzanian Chocolate Cake. As always, everything was perfectly prepared and delicious!
After dinner we went to the show which was a guest entertainer Guitarist & Vocalist named Jesse Kazemek. His show was called “A Unique Tribute to the Beatles”. He first fell in love with the Beatles at age 4. He sang all Beatles songs such as Let it Be, Penny Lane, Hey Jude and my favorite, Yesterday. He’ll be back in a few days and we’ll definitely go back.
After the show we ended the night listening to late night jazz with the Regent Signature Orchestra. Before dinner we got the news that we can’t make it to our next port, Kailua-Kona on the Big Island due to forecasted high sea swells. So we’ll stay an extra night in Kauai but will need to leave by Noon tomorrow so not much time other than the morning. So in essence it will be like another sea day. Oh well, life at sea is always unpredictable. Hope everyone had a great Tuesday!
