Hi Again Gang! We had another great evening. Had dinner with our good friends Colleen, Steve, Terry and Don at Compass Rose. We toasted to Francisco, the Restaurant Manager, since it was his birthday today. (He’s in our group picture). The food at Compass Rose is so good and the menu so huge. You can actually get Filet Mignon and Lobster every night if you want! Not many cruise lines offer that.
But tonight I decided to do the Escargot for my appetizer, the Tuna Filet for my main, and the Chocolate Mouse Cake for dessert. All were excellent but the Tuna was some of the best I’ve ever had. It had a jerk infused flavoring on top and black beans as a base that made the flavors come together perfectly. Hats off to the Chef!
After dinner we went to the show with Heather Sullivan, the singer from the other night. Her show was called “Lady Killers: The Great Female Singers of the 20th Century”. She sang songs from Donna Summer, Petula Clark, Janis Joplin, Diana Ross, Barbara Streisand, Cher, Bette Midler, and Tina Turner. WOW… what a show!
After the show we crashed since we have another early excursion tomorrow. We are in Honolulu tomorrow. Can’t wait! Hope everyone had a great Friday!
PS: Shout out to all our friends and family in the Carolinas. Hoping this new batch of snow and cold doesn’t impact you too much. But I know the grandkids will be loving it!
