World Cruise – Regent Seven Seas Mariner – 154 Days – Sea Day – Day 18 – Final Pics!

Tuesday Jan 27, 2026

Hi Gang! Yes, another sea day! Just one more after this until we get to Hawaii! Today’s sea day routine was thrown off a bit due to a new function we’ve never had before on Regent which was called the “County Fair”. They only do it on cruises where there are several sea days in a row since it’s a lot of work for the crew.

A variety of game booths were manned by the various ship’s departments. They had fun games like guess the spice smell, a sort of “beer pong” game to put ping pong balls into small bowls of water, and tossing hula hoops over a couple singers and dancers in the pool.

All games were free and we won raffle tickets for each game where they gave away prizes at the end but we didn’t win anything initially. But our friend Darlene, who we play the passenger games with, won a model of the Mariner ship, but didn’t think she could fit it in her luggage so she gave it to Kathy. So we did win something!

After the County Fair games we decided to eat a big lunch instead of a big dinner. Compass Rose, on sea days, serves a sit down lunch with dishes from some of the other ship’s restaurants. I love the Asian restaurant Pacific Rim, from the Grandeur ship, and chose the Chinese BBQ Pork Ribs from there as well as the Caesar Salad from Prime 7, Cream of Chicken Soup, Italian Meatballs and the Caramel Mousse. So yes, that was a big lunch!

We also got in two passenger games, Shufflegolf and High Roller, and we won two Regent points! But we didn’t have an Officers Challenge game today due to the County Fair games so we only have tomorrow to try to tie the Officers before the end of this first segment of the cruise.

There were two shows today and we went to both. At 6 PM, the Regent singers performed a show called “Broadway Unplugged”, which was described as “acoustic covers and stylistic re-imagining of Broadway favorites”. They sang songs from Annie, Rent, Oklahoma and many more. It was a great show!

And at 9:30 PM, guest entertainer Kenny James (the singer from the other night who is famous for the song “Rock the Boat”) did a show named “Another Trip Down Memory Lane”. He sang the old Motown songs from the likes of the Temptations, the Supremes, the Four Tops and many more. He had his son with him who actually did the Jimi Hendrix song Purple Rain. Crazy!

After the late show, they had karaoke in one of the lounges so we went to listen (not sing!). OUCH!!! That was hard on the ears! Lol. Hope everyone had a great Tuesday!

PS: We turned the clocks back one hour again tonight to get on Hawaii time so now we’ll be 5 hours behind East Coast time!
