Hi Folks! Happy Australia Day! (We didn’t know it was that today either!). We’re halfway thru this stretch of sea days (on day 3 of 5 straight sea days!) and we were back to closer to our sea day routine since no football today. So we had fun playing the passenger games. We played Skittles, High Rollers against the Officers, Roll-A-Ball, and Crazy Golf. We won 4 Regent Points and the passengers beat the Officers (Double YAY!!).
But again, the highlight of our day was FaceTiming with the grandkids! They told us all about the fun they’ve had in the snow and we told them how much we miss them. No, we didn’t rub it in how warm it is here and how we’ll be soon basking in the sun of Hawaii. That would be MEAN! Lol
We had another great dinner at Compass Rose. I had the Baby Squid Salad for my appetizer and the Latin Spiced Halibut Filet for my main. For dessert I had the Peanut Butter Crunch Bar. As always, everything was perfecto!
After dinner we went to the show which was performed solely by one of the Regent Singers named Lachlan Griffith, who is from Australia. He does a lot of the passenger games so we’ve gotten to know him well and really like him. His show was called Broadway from “Downunda” and he sang Broadway hits, along with some standard songs, all with a nod to Australia Day. It was a great show! And we got a picture with him!
We finished our night listening to jazz with the Regent Signature Orchestra. Hope everyone had a great Monday and hope that all along the path of the storm the last few days are all safe and warm!
