Hi All! While today was another sea day, we changed up our routine due to one very important thing… FOOTBALL!! We are die hard NFL football fans so we stayed in all day and watched both games. The Patriots vs Broncos game was crazy with the weather change there. It started out a sunny day in Denver but then turned into a blizzard where you couldn’t see the grass on the field. Crazy! But the Patriots pulled out the win!
In the second game, Seattle vs the Rams looked like they had great weather in Seattle so it ended up being a fairly high scoring game. But it went right down to the wire and the Seahawks won! Sam Darnold was on fire! (Of course he used to be with the Carolina Panthers! Lol).
In between football, we played three passenger games. Ring Toss, Baggo (against the Officers) and Ace Throwing. We won 4 Regent Points and beat the Officers! Double YAY!!
We went to Compass Rose for dinner after the second football game (we’re now 3 hours behind East Coast time). I got Cream of Potato Soup for my appetizer and Seared Cod Filet for my main. For dessert I got the Sticky Date Toffee Pudding. Everything was magnifico!
After dinner we went to the show which was a guest entertainer named Heather Sullivan. She’s a vocalist/pianist who has played at Carnegie Hall and has had her music featured on The Sopranos. At this show she played music by Carole King, Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, Ray Charles and more. Great music! We finished our night listening to jazz by the Regent Signature Orchestra.
Given the treacherous winter storm stretching across the US, I checked in on my kids in both the Carolinas and Pittsburgh. Everyone had power, thankfully, and the grand kids and grand dogs are enjoying the snow! Pittsburgh had close to 20 inches of snow! Crazy!! Included a couple pics. Hope everyone in the path of this storm stays safe and warm!
