World Cruise – Regent Seven Seas Mariner – 154 Days – Sea Day – Day 10 – Final Pics!

Monday Jan 19, 2026

Hi All! Happy Martin Luther King day! As I wrote yesterday, today we had an unexpected sea day due to the civil unrest in Guatemala, so we missed seeing that country. But you know how we love our sea days. So I did my normal routine and slept in a little, got a workout in at the gym, ate great food, played some fun games, got educated and even got to watch some football.

As to the passenger games on board we played Top Toss, Baggo, and Tic-Tac-Throw. And we won three Regent points today. YAY! After the games we got educated on magic. The Magician from the show last night did a magic workshop. It was so fun and he gave us some inside info on how to do lots of magic tricks. So lookout grandkids, Pap Pap will be amazing you with magic tricks when I get home (if I can remember them! Lol).

For dinner we went to Sette Mari at La Veranda, which is normally an Italian themed restaurant at night but tonight they had a Pan Asian buffet so we decided to do that to change it up. The food was delicious and you got to try lots of different Asian foods. So Yummy!

After dinner we went to the show. It was a group called The Rave-Ons who are a high-octane band from the Northeast formed to celebrate the roots of rock and roll. Their show was called “That’ll Be The Day: A Tribute to Buddy Holly & The Crickets”. They sang some of the great old classic songs from Buddy Holly but also from Elvis and Don McClean.

Before and after the show we watched the College Football Playoff game. Tough loss for Miami but incredible that Indiana went 16-0! And the Indiana quarterback, Mendoza, made an unbelievable touchdown run on 4th down. Also cool that the Indiana coach, Curt Cignetti, coached at both my Alma mater, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, as well as my son-in-law’s Alma mater, Elon University. Small world!

Tomorrow we have another sea day as we work our way up the west coast of Mexico on the Pacific Ocean. The Captain said the seas would be very rough tonight and it has been. We are rocking and rolling! Hope everyone had a great Monday!

PS: Sorry no pictures today!
