Hi Again Gang! We had another great night. We started with the Captain’s Welcome Reception at 6 PM. The Captain and his Officers were all there and introduced themselves. As part of the show the Regent Singers and Dancers also did a few songs. The whole reception was very nice.
We then went to dinner in Compass Rose and were so excited since we got invited to dine with both the Executive Concierge, Luis Torres, and the Destination Manager, Miguel Froi. We met Luis on this ship last year and really like him but have not met Miguel before. They both were great to have dinner with!
We talked about lots of different subjects but mostly talked travel. It was nice making a strong connection with both these officers who are so important to this journey. I hope we don’t have to bug them for anything but if we do, they both said they’d do anything to help us. Watch out guys, that’s pretty open ended! Lol.
The food once again was delicious (you’ll get tired of me saying this!). But since we were with some officers of the ship, I did not take pictures of the menu and food. But for my starter I had the Cream of Asparagus soup, for my main I had the Glazed Salmon and since I went to the gym today I got the Tanzanian Chocolate Cake! But the highlight of the dinner was the great conversations with Luis and Miguel.
After dinner we went to the show featuring a guest entertainer named David Shannon. He grew up in Ireland and his show was called “Ireland’s Greatest Showman”. He sang the lead in many Broadway musicals and even played Jean Valjean in Les Miserables. He was a powerful singer and put on an amazing show!
After the show we finished the night watching football. Even with all my screaming at the TV, the Steelers could not handle the Houston Texans defense and lost. Oh well, both my teams are out of the playoffs so now I can just watch the rest of the playoffs and not get too excited. Lol
Tomorrow is another sea day so we’re looking forward to that. Hope everyone had a great Monday!
