Hi Again All! We had another great evening (and we’re only on Day 2!). We had dinner at Compass Rose, their main dining room, which in my opinion is the best main dining room at sea. And we’ve been on almost every ultra luxury cruise lines out there. CR beats them all!Given we’ll be on here for 154 days I’m going to try my best to not order two appetizers every night and also (this is pure blasphemy!) not order dessert every night (of course unless it’s good chocolate!!). But then again, I could just cheat and not write about it if I did order dessert! Lol
For my (one!) appetizer I got the Roasted Red Beet Carpaccio (also trying to eat more vegetables!). And for my main I had the Branzino (and of course a Lobster Tail!) and I actually skipped the dessert! I had the cheese plate for my after dinner snack. It was really good.
We then went to the show which was a comedian named George Casey. His show was called “The King of Blarney!” and his material was lots of Irish themed humor. Some of his material was a little corny but overall he was pretty funny.
After the show, we went to listen to the various live music venues to see which one we liked best. They had Cocktail Pianist Ross in the Observation Lounge on Deck 12, the Regent Signature Orchestra playing late night jazz in the Mariner Lounge on Deck 5, and music from the May and Jun Duo in the Horizon Lounge on Deck 6. But it ended up just being an Uno rather than a Duo since one of them was not feeling well. We liked all of them but felt tonight the “Uno” music was the best!
We called it a night after that. Tomorrow is our first sea day! Hope everyone had a great weekend!
