Hi Again Folks! We had another fun night with great food, great entertainment and great service. We started with dinner at another of their specialty restaurants, this one called Beefbar.
Beefbar is an international restaurant chain that serves premium cuts of beef from Japan, the US and Australia alongside other dishes like street food and seafood. The original Beefbar in Monaco, and other locations such as Paris, New York, Mykonos, and Hong Kong, offer sophisticated dining experiences with a focus on high-quality meats and a cosmopolitan vibe. Crystal brought this concept on to their ships and it has been a huge success. We really enjoyed it!
Their street food options are served as shareable, and since they’re small (that’s what we told ourselves!) we got four of them. We had the Ribeye Ham, the Tacos, the Bao Buns and the Mini Smash Burgers. But of course we didn’t stop there!
We also got the Avocado Hummus and the Prawn Salad to try as well! But then we still had our mains! I had the Ribeye Steak and Kathy got the Filet Mignon. We ate so much we actually skipped dessert (a heresy on a cruise!). Everything was really tasty!! I got so excited to try the Ribeye I forgot to get a picture!
After dinner we went to two shows. The first, at the Stardust Club, was called “Sweet Soul Music” and had the Crystal Singers and Dancers performing the music of Aretha Franklin, Smokey Robinson, Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder and more. The music and show were great!
After that we went to the Galaxy Lounge to see a comedian named Tim Drake. He calls himself “An Attitude with a Tie” since he’s from New Jersey and has no filter. He was really funny and definitely had no filter!
After that show we went to listen to the piano player, Colin Salter, at the Avenue Saloon. He played some great music. After that we crashed. Tomorrow we are in Boston! Looking forward to that. Hope everyone had a great Thursday!
