Hi Gang! Yes the Wandering Italian and his co-pilot Kathy are off on another adventure. But can you believe it’s only for 7 nights? For us that’s a blink of an eye! Lol
Since our last cruise we had a fun week in beautiful Hilton Head Island with all the kids and grandkids. We had great weather and enjoyed the beach, the pool and bike riding the island. We also celebrated my grandson’s 5th birthday! As I always say, we are so blessed to be able to make such great memories. I included a few pics of those three little goobers!
For this cruise we are trying out a new cruise line for us called Crystal. We’ll be on their Crystal Serenity ship and decided to do a quick 7 night cruise to get a feel for them. They come highly recommended and we look forward to comparing them to Regent Seven Seas and Silver Sea, the other luxury cruise lines we like.
We were a little risky with this one and flew in to New York City today, the day the ship leaves. Luckily all went smoothly with our flight, our bags and the embarkation process, and we were sitting at the Marketplace Restaurant having lunch by 1:00. After lunch we toured the ship to learn our way around. At first blush, it’s a beautifully maintained ship!
For this adventure we’ll cruise up the New England coast stopping at several ports on our way to Saint John New Brunswick in Canada then returning to NYC. Not sure if we’re too early for the leaves changing but we’re hoping to see a little color. Should be a fun trip!
Hope everyone is having a good Fall and hopefully starting to enjoy some cooler temperatures. Let’s also pray all those pesky hurricanes out in the Atlantic don’t impact us! I’ll do another update tonight. Happy Tuesday!
PS: Given our ship name is Serenity, If you’re a Seinfeld fan you’ll know why our theme for this cruise will be “Serenity Now”! Lol
