Oslo to Barcelona – 8 countries in 18 days – Final Trip Update!

Sunday September 14, 2025

Hi All! Wow! What an adventure. We LOVED this itinerary and of course we loved our time on our favorite cruise ship, the Regent Seven Seas Navigator. How can you beat the best food, service and entertainment on the high seas on a boat that’s like being on a private yacht. Life is good!

Regent gave this cruise the name “Iberian Gems and Sparkling Shores” and we really did see some gems. Some of our highlights were spending more time in Copenhagen, seeing lots of new ports along the Costa del Sol of Spain, traversing the Kiel Canal and walking the Camino de Santiago. And we traveled over 2,800 nautical miles!

But of course there’s no rest for us Wanderlust travelers. We leave in less than a week to spend a week with all the kids and grandkids on Hilton Head Island. Then in a little over two weeks, Kathy and I try out a new cruise line for us which is called Crystal. We’ll be doing a 7 night Canada/New England cruise.

And in between that I get to spend lots of time with my grandkids taking them to school and hearing all about what’s going on in their world. Like I said, life is good and I am so blessed.

Thanks again for traveling along with us. Until next time… I’ll leave you with another one of my favorite inspirational travel quotes:

“We travel not to escape life but for life not to escape us.”
