Hi Again Folks! Tonight was bitter sweet. We started with our last amazing dinner at Compass Rose but had to say our goodbyes to all the amazing crew we either met for the first time or had met before and reunited.
For our “last supper” (OK, OK, I know that was a bit dramatic and also probably religious malpractice! Lol) I had an all seafood meal. I had the Halibut Ceviche as well as the Norwegian Gravlax for my starters. For my main I had a seafood medley of Dover Sole, Shrimp and of course I had to finish with a Lobster Tail! And for dessert, I also finished strong with the Warm Chocolate Hazelnut Cake. All the food was excellent as it always is. Best Main Dining Room at sea!
We got to see and say goodbye to all our favorites. Our head waitress Mary Jane, our assistant waiter Okee, our drink server Ma and our good friend and bar server Mailyn who we’ve known the longest. And we luckily got to see Ricky in Compass Rose who normally delivers our breakfast room service! So sad to think we may not see some of them again but hope we cross paths on a future Regent cruise.
After dinner they were showing a movie but we weren’t interested in watching it so we went back to our room, finished packing and watched a movie in our room. Guess what movie we watched?? In prep for our around the world cruise on Regent next year, we watched “Around the World in 80 Days”! The Jules Verne classic. That movie is almost 3 hours long! So we didn’t watch all of it but it got us pumped for next year’s adventures!
We then crashed to get ready for our big travel day tomorrow. We’ll fly from Barcelona to Philly to Charlotte. Wish us luck! I’ll do a final trip update either late Sat or Sun. Hope everyone had a great Friday!
