Hi Again Folks! We had a nice first evening on the ship. We started with dinner at the Britannia Restaurant. We chose the flexible dining option (rather than fixed) and went to dinner at 7:30 PM. We had to wait for a little bit but got a great window seat looking out toward Mount Rainier. Sweet!
The dinner menu to be honest is no Regent Seven Seas (where’s the free everyday lobster when you need it??) but we found things we liked. I got the Wild Mushroom Risotto and Shrimp Cocktail for starters and the Slow-Roasted Beef Striploin for the main and the Apple and Berry Crisp for dessert.
After dinner we went to the show which was called “Be Our Guest”. It was put on by the Cunard singers and dancers and described as how “they gleefully indulge in limitless imagination on the stage with catchy musical numbers, mesmerizing choreography, dazzling costumes, and spectacular singing”. I have to admit, they knocked it out of the park and covered all that!
After the show we listened to the Southeast 9 Duo in the Queens Room. They had that dance floor rocking! After that we crashed to try to catch up on our lost sleep from the trip over. Tomorrow is a sea day so we can sleep in. YAY!
