Hi Gang! TGIF! This is our last full day in Stockholm. Check out time for our hotel was Noon so we decided to sleep in (like I said, this international jet setting is tiring! Lol). We decided since we have an early flight out of Stockholm and the airport is almost an hour from downtown that we’d stay at a hotel right next to the airport. So we checked out at Noon, left our bags at the hotel and ventured off to explore Stockholm again.
We took a walk to where all the high end hotels were. The nicest is The Grand Hotel which had been hosting the rich and famous for years (but not us!).
We then decided since it was such a sunny day that we’d take a Royal Canal and Bridges tour on the waterway. It was very peaceful going thru these narrow canals and under lots of bridges. We saw some beautiful homes and again a part of Stockholm we hadn’t seen. This city is so cool so if you’ve never been, put it in your bucket list!
After that we grabbed a quick pizza and salad and headed back to our hotel. Our Uber driver was scheduled for 6 PM and was right on time and whisked us away to our airport hotel. We got all checked in and settled and crashed early since we have to get to the airport by 6 AM!
We have a long travel day home tomorrow since we fly from Stockholm to London’s Heathrow, then a few hours layover then a direct flight to Charlotte. So yeah, we’ll be traveling for about 20 straight hours but it’s all worth it! Hope everyone had a great Friday! I’ll do a final update on Sunday since I know I’ll be dragging on Sat night!
