The Baltics – Day 7 – Amsterdam, the Netherlands – Pics Part 1!

Thurs April 17, 2025

Hi Folks! Well the word of the day is WOW!! We are docked in Amsterdam in the Netherlands for two days and today we went to one of the most visually amazing places in the world. It’s called the Keukenhof (also known as the Garden of Europe) and it’s only open for 7 weeks during spring. It’s home to over 7 million tulips, hyacinths and daffodils and they were all in full bloom. Just stunning!

We were off the boat by 8:30 AM (early for us!) and had about a 45 minute bus ride to get there. Once there we had 3 hours to walk the grounds and take in the beautiful scenery. We are so lucky to be here this time of year and also lucky that it was not too crowded. They get over 1.5 million visitors over the 7 week period they’re open with many coming over Easter weekend. Of course Holland is known for tulips but did you know they export over 2.5 Billion flower bulbs annually with tulips and hyacinths being the top two. This truly is a magical place!

I’ll just let the pictures do the talking and none of them need captions. Just enjoy all the beauty. I took so many pictures I’ll post three separate updates. I’ll do another update tonight after dinner. Happy Thursday to all!
