Hi All! You all know how we love our sea days! Who doesn’t like gorgeous weather, great food, amazing entertainment, interesting education, and all that while getting to sleep in and relax by the pool. Can’t beat it!
So specifically we got educated on the epic journey of Holland America Line’s first 150 years of cruising and how they were the first cruise company that brought millions of European LEGAL immigrants to the USA, included my own grandparents!
We had some tasty treats at lunch (it was cake day!) and at afternoon tea and picked up some additional Tech Tips on planning for travel. We also learned about the in person customs and border patrol process we’d need to go thru when we reach Key West (do they think we’re boat people??).
We listened to some great pre-dinner jazz by Levi on piano and Mike on sax playing Sinatra, Louie Armstrong and Nat King Cole amongst others. They were one of the best jazz duos we’ve ever heard!
We had another tasty dinner of mostly seafood. Starting off with escargot and shrimp cocktail for starters and this delicious salmon for the main course and with Creme Brûlée for dessert. So yummy!
We saw a great show by the Holland singers and dancers appropriately called “Song and Dance” where they sang songs from Hollywood, Broadway and beyond.
And we ended our day as we always do listening to our two favorite piano players doing all requests.
Tomorrow we visit Key West and look forward to chilling in the Keys! Hope everybody had a great Thursday!
