Hi Gang! As you all know we love a sea day! And today was a lot to love. Sleeping in, great weather, fun activities, good food and lots of live music! Can’t beat it!
After a good night’s sleep, we started with a nice lunch at the Lido. Holland really does a great job on their lunch buffet. Lots of choices and they all taste pretty good. We did an Asian stir fry today that was so yummy!
After lunch we played music trivia. It was fun and we didn’t do too bad. We got 17 points out of 34 so I guess we got half right! Funny how you know the song once they play the whole thing! Lol
After music trivia we did the Dutch afternoon tea. They did some sweet treats and finger sandwiches all of which were good. And we met a nice lady from Oklahoma who loved to travel like us so we were comparing travel tips.
After that we got ready for dinner. Tonight was a dress up night so we put on our finest and strutted down to the main dining room for dinner. Kathy was wearing a classy outfit with some bling on it and all the ladies were commenting that they loved it. So why don’t I get any comments?? Lol. We asked for Gerald, our waiter from day one, but we weren’t able to sit at his table. Tonight’s waiter, Rouf, was nice but he was no Gerald!
I did an all seafood dinner starting off with escargot and shrimp cocktail for my appetizers and yellow fin sole filet for my main. They were all good and I finished it off with some flourless chocolate cake for dessert. So yummy!
After dinner we went to the show which was a guitarist named Diego Ribeiro Figueiredo . He was really good and made that guitar sing. He was from Brazil and played a lot of Bossa Nova and Samba. Such great music!
After that we listened to the piano duo playing all requests. Amazing that no one requested Sweet Caroline or Piano Man! Lol
All in all it was a great day and we called it a night. Tomorrow we are in Turks and Caicos and we’re both excited since we’ve never been there. Hope everyone had a great Monday!
